Recently purchased a Fjords chair from Barnaby. Very comfortable. Unfortunately the metal frame cracked, One of the guys, a Barnaby suggested this was not the first failure of this nature that they had seen, and said he new how to repair it. So far so good, appears to be excellent customer service. The other problem was that the leather on the seat had excessive stretching. Even got a second opinion on this before raising the issue with Barnaby. Barnaby apparently fixed/replaced the metal frame however refused to do anything about the leather issue. As such we told them to keep the chair and refund our money which they did. Today I called Mark their manager and asked if that chair was still available or was there something else. He called back and said that his boss, Mr Barnaby, preferred not to do business with us. My hat is off to Marc, very professional and did follow up. To other customers I suggest beware as Mr Barnaby does not appear to be a truly stand up retailer. If you require customer service it will obviously have to be on his terms.
