Tidal Bore Impossible to describe but awesome to see and appreciate. Can't really be described or even photographed, though of course I tried!! There was a fella there from a local museum describing the phenomenon, and also local history. MUST DO if you are in Funday area!!!
Bore Park isn't too boring but offers one stunning monuments and a few nice spots to sit around and enjoy the beauty of nature next to a busy city.
The tidal bore is amazing . Bore view park offers a great setting in which to view the bore. The volunteer who explained why the bore happens was very knowledgeable and added a lot to the experience!
Good for a quick visit. Do not wait to watch a mud wall come by. On my 3rd visit I did get to see a 6 inch wall of mud roll past.
The tidal Bore is an occurrence that you have to see to believe it. The rising of the tide causes a wave to run up the river, and on some days you can see people surf on the wave. It may sound wild and it is. Once you have seen it you can't unsee it. Check this out while waiting for the tide to change at Hopewell Rocks Park. Timing is everything for these two sites. Go and see the information centre to match up with the timing.
